Orange Marine is approved for submarine operations in the vicinity of offshore platforms. The company also offers an installation service of cable pulling to connect offshore facilities (J-Tube).

In July 2012, cable ship Descartes completed an operation in the North Sea for SHEFA – Faroese Telecom. The project consisted in connecting the Cantat-3 cable to Valdemar offshore platform. This oil platform off Denmark is part of the Danish Oil Sector. The ship was approved by Maersk, the owner of the platform, as she was capable of keeping an accurate position near the platform.
